How much ab work do you do?
I teach 3 classes a week, all that involve ab work - it's not necessarily doing the moves I'd like to do for myself (like hanging leg lifts and decline bench reverse crunches), but I think it suffices as my abs are usually sore. Sometimes, I might do a few stomach vacuums on non-class days.

I do abs once a week and split them into exercises for upper, lower, obliques. However, after each cardio, I do light ab work (works out to 2-3 times a week, depending on the week's schedule) By light, I mean the following:
12 each ab vaccums, pelvic tilts, bun lifts, crunches, oblique curls with lots of stretching in between.
I have also been taking yoga/pilates once a week for core and balance. But that will be ending soon for the summer.

hey:)
i teach ab classes as well! i teach 4 "washboard ab" classes a week for 30 min each. i also teach other classes that end with abs.....i do the exercises with my class and on the days i dont teach abs i do weighted ab exercises. i have noticed myself that my abs are really hard and firm, but i am still weighting on my 6-pack !!! it is slowly but surly getting there !!

i do abs three times a week. my abs aren't very built so my routine is usually VERY focussed and slow vups, crunches and bicycle crunches. i usually do 10-12 sets total and then do 20 minutes of advanced pilates. it's really effective for me and also works the transverse abdominus nicely

2-3 times a week.
I prefer less volume, using resistance.

4 times a week but I split upper, lower, obliques and I add back extensions without weight in this routines. I also focus and breathe really deeply when I'm doing my workout.
I don't wanna get the 6packs, juste a line and firm abs

I focus on abs 2 times a week. I do reverse crunches on the bench, leg lifts, hanging leg raises, obliques on the ball, bicycle crunches, and then finally ankle taps. What is this vaccuum thing you guys are talking about?

I do not train my abs at all. The only thing that will get you that six pack you always wanted is a clean clean clean diet!
