Well, to sum it up real quickly...
read it.
Even if you don't apply a lot of the stuff, the understanding of strength training you'll get from reading it is very valuable, as you'll always have confidence in how you design your workouts. Definitely try to read a few pages a day, if you can. It isn't meant to be read in one sitting, lol.

Sorry to bump a 4 year old thread , but I’m been searching all over with no luck. Everything I have read about this book has been nothing but good. I know it is much more technical then just some cut and dry BB book. But I wanted to know is there anything close to any sort of sample programs layed out in here, or is it pretty much strictly theory? I would like to atleast walkaway with a rough program layout that I can try and then build on. Thanks for your input.

Information is overwhelming however extremely useful if you are a thinker. Most people will probably struggle to wrap their minds around the technicality of it. No sample programs from recollection, but many contemporary training programs are based off the concepts anyway so there is no need for a sample program. Don't read it from front to back, just pick your poison and learn it a piece at a time.
#1 book of reference in my collection. Good bump.
