    Biceps Swollen, cant straighten arms..

    My biceps are freakin on fire. Ive been through this before....but I cant straighten my arms out, and my biceps are swollen......am I overtraining them?

    haha, the swelling is making them look huge. Ive always noticed big gains when they feel like this though after they heal

    I do standing 4 sets of 8x8x6x6 standing curls, than I do BB 21's and 4x8 curls with the EZ bar. If you up the weight, you will get a good workout every time

    Sounds like DOMS to me. It'll go away in time... in the mean time just do your best to use them and work the soreness out.

    I think that you did too much. Being sore doesn't mean "it is working." Ever get that feeling when you squat? Deadlift? Weighted dips? Weighted chins?

    Yep, that's exactly what it is The same exact thing happens to me after a layoff. Spectacular DOMS through the biceps and down into the forearm making eblow flexion a real interesting proposition.

    To the OP, like Andrew said, it doesn't mean you had a great workout. It just means you caused extensive trauma in your muscle tissue. If that was your goal, awesome job.

    This is an indication that you have really trained the biceps, and growth like be the result, but do not always work them that much, work them hard but not that long.

    did it again. Even worst then the first couple of times. It hurts......but it feels so good. Day 3 now since Bicep workout and still hurting. Cant even straighten my arms

    LOL same process a year later. Sounds like you workout a lot like me. A week every 2 months or so, the pain of every workout is hellish haha
