How long can Chicken Breasts stay frozen and still be good?

I bought a box of chicken breasts over a year ago. I guess I ate half and somehow forgot about them so they've been sitting in the basement for around a year.

Are they still good to eat? I took one out and thrawed it and it definitely does not have the "fresh" smell. But should I still eat them or just trash it?

Trash it. Usually frozen meat can last 6-12 months, but I think chicken breast that is over 12 months old that doesn't have a nice smell shouldn't be eaten. Go buy some new frozen chicken

if its frozen and never thawd out then it's good forever although if you lost power at some point during the year id say trash it to be safe. If its frozen it'll last forever, depending on the temperature.

Oh well, I guess you can eat them if you want. I have a food "safe storage times" magnet on my frig that I go off of. Its probably just me. I think I have a phobia of foods that are out of date, or that I think are out of date.
