    Losing weight and lifting

Started working out at the first of April. I started weighing in at 247.7. Right now I'm at 238lbs. I'm running 1 mile a day and eating alot better than I have, I'm gonna have to re-do my diet but cause it's starting to slow down. My question is can I continue to drop around 2lbs. a week with me working out about an hour or 2? I'm trying to lift heavy on alot of my weak areas like biceps and back to make everything as symmetrical as possible. Is this going to kill me trying to loose weight and add muscle? My goal was to hit 210 by the last Saturday in September. Most of your guys are probably thinking why that date, well that's when Tennessee's hunting season opens up and I'd like to be thinner and in better shape before this season. Any advice on foods to eat, etc. would be appreciated. All I'm taking right now is protein and lipo6. I will say the lipo6's don't appear to be doing squat. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't try for symmetry right now. Why don't you get a good, complete lifting program going with a good diet?

Post up your diet and your workout as it is now and we can help.

    7 1 egg w/ 2 egg whites, 1 piece of toast
10 banana and a protein shake
1 chicken strips w/ cottage cheese
    4 yogurt
7 tuna, veggies, and a protein shake
I work out from for about 2 hrs. I run to get warmed up, then I actually do muscle groups. M-shoulders, T-biceps, W-back, TH-legs, F-chest and tris. If you need more info, let me know. I guess it's still working ok, I lost 2.3lbs. last week.
