how do inmates get so big?

You always hear and see when people go to jail for a while,they lift and come back huge.i realize all some of them do is lift in their spare time,everyday,yes which would get you big and strong.But everyone emphasizes that nutrition is such a HUGE park of lifting,yet people in the pen basically eat scraps.I know someone who went away..came back big,and said,we basically eat scraps and sh*t for food.So it makes you think,maybe nutrition doesn't have as big as impact on lifting as we think(which is not true so don't knock me for saying that)or........who knows what goes on in jail?Just a thought

The meals actually are nutritious, yes they taste like scaraps and also look it too but they do have lots of protein and they do help with muscle growth. Just because something isn't big and great tasting doesn't mean it won't help. And you'r right, all they do IS lift they have nothing else to do.

it is not like the movies. People in prison are normal looking people of all shapes and sizes and they come out with many shapes and sizes, usually the same. Hollywood gave that perception out with movies like american history x and longest yard but it isnt like that

Prison's are so leniant it's not even funny.

It's more of like a camp than a prison. They eat fine there. Prisoners eat better than most people.

Well, you'll notice that the big guys steal the little guys' food, so they get plenty to eat.

They have nothing to do all day but sit in their cell and do situps and pushups, then lift weights while they are allowed out into the yard.

Where do these numbers come from? Most prisons offer 3 meals a day minimum. Also, it wouldn't be hard for someone in prison to get ahold of some protein bars or something. Certain prisons allow prisoners to "buy" things from good behavior and work.

i dont think ive seen a big prisoner when you see those documenteries on tv. i think its just in the movies that they are portrayed as being big

If they get so big as gorillas I think the prison guards will have a hard time to handle them when they escape.


I think they will put the inmates in a special program where they will slowly "skinned" into little puppies that are easier to be taken care off.

When I worked in the county I would watch these guys come in all sucked up but after about three months they started to fill out. Yes they get three meals a day that are put together by a nutritionest (sp) but they also get store where they can by all kinds of stuff from meat sticks to top raman. So they can get a fair amount to eat. The thing that amazed me was that when the weights were taken away they started using water bags and still got huge.

I think its more like a haven for the "society unacceptable offenders" who are put into certain secret allerged mental secretl experiment where the authority examine them.

I went to a jail for a criminal justice field trip and majority of them where big. The guys lecturing us were huge...one guy showed us how he can rip a phonebook in half...pretty impressive

whoever said prisoners eat better than most people is an idiot. The food is shytty and they barely get enough nutrition and no way is it enough to pack on muscle. My guess is, alot of the guys that do get big in prison are blessed with good genes.
