Don't work them directly at all. I let chins and hammer curls take care of it.

2X/week; Not gonna lie, they are my favorite, after taking NO-Explode and creatine, just watching the volume pump up while at the gym. All dumbell exercises, seated incline, hammer, and preacher.

Hammer curls are direct bicep training

On my next program they will be worked every single workout either with rows or chins, so 3x a week, not counting any direct work I might throw in.

They get worked plenty from back work twice a week. Your question would probably be better phrased as: "how often do you work your biceps directly during the week?"

the whole point of back exercises is to isolate our back muscles and lats so they grow and not your biceps, thats why we see so many guys with under developed backs. Work your back, work your bis, but 3-6 sets a week should be enough for bi's, maybe a lil more if you really need it.

Isolate the back? If you are doing chins or rows you aren't isolating anything. The whole point of using compounds is that multiple muscles are worked and with rows or chins, biceps happens to be one of them. Your body doesn't know if you are doing a lift for your back or for your arms. Both muscle groups get a lot of overload from "back" training and both will respond.

Since hammer curls mainly work the Brachialis I wasn't thinking of them as a direct bicep exercise as a barbell curl would be, but you're right

i train my biceps as often as possible - sometimes even 4x a week.. but it usually comprises of doing 1 excercise for 3-5 sets of 8-10 reps not to failure.....

i dont do them on successive days however... i keep one day in the middle for rest....check the last few pages of my journal if you want to know exactly what i mean..

    best of luck
