Well, everyones body is different so it can take longer for some and compartively short for others. People also have differ in their metabolism rates which can also reflect how fast someone is able to build muscle. Overall, bodybuilding is not a shot term process; you must be dedicated and patient. Just keep lifting hard.

NO SAYING HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE FOR YOU TO GET BIG. BUT IT WONT BE FAST. YOUR NOT GOING TO BE LOOKING AT WEEKS OR MONTHS. IT WILL TAKE YEARS TO GET A BODYBUILDERS LOOK. KEEP BUSTING ASS IN THE GYM BUT DONT OVER DO IT. MORE THAN AN HOUR IN THE GYM IS OVER DOING IT. WHAT YOU EAT AND HOW YOU SLEEP ARE THE BIG FACTORS. 2500 CAL IS ENOUGH IF YOU ARE AN EASY GAINER AND YOUR NOT VERY ACTIVE. YOU DONT NEED TO BE SO WORRIED ABOUT HOW MANY CALORIES THAT YOUR TAKING IN. WHAT YOU NEED TO LOOK AT IS HOW MANY CALORIES YOUR BURNING. EVEN FIGURING OUT WHAT DIET WORKS BEST FOR YOU IS AN ON GOING PROCCESS. THE BEST WAY I FOUND TO GAIN WEIGHT WHEN TRYING TO 'BULK UP' IS TO EAT A LARGE AMOUNT OF MEAT AND VEGETABLES AN HOUR BEFORE GOING TO BED. THEN IMMEDIATLY BEFORE GOING TO BED FORCE DOWN A WEIGHT GAINER SHAKE. (N LARGE 2 IS MY PERSONAL FAVORITE.) PERSONALLY IVE BEEN LIFTING FOR ABOUT FOUR YEARS AND IM JUST NOW BREAKING THE 200 MARK IVE BEEN SHOOTING FOR. I STARTED AS A FREHMAN IN HIGH SCHOOL AT ABOUT 120lbs AT ABOUT 13% BODY FAT. ABOUT FOUR YEARS LATER IM AT 196 AND 9% BODY FAT. IM USUALLY WEIGH 200 WITH ABOUT 11% BUT I HAD TO CUT WEIGHT FOR A COMPETITION. BUT FOR ME TO GET AT THIS POINT IT TOOK YEARS OF HARD WORK AND LEARNING EVERYTHING I COULD AND APPLYING IT TO MY LIFE. FIGURE OUT WHAT WORKS FOR YOU, THATS THE ONLY WAY TO GET BIG

How about shuting the **** up, and not worrying about how long it will take, and most of all concetrate on what to do first, before getting ahead of urself so quickly.
I seem to receive alot of P.M's on nutrition advice, training & among other general subjects, please give me time to reply, I don't mind answering your questions, thanks! Ladies and Gents.

well firstly i want to understand what you believe to be "big" ?
some people who are 110 pounds think 150 pounds is big while others see 230 pounds ++ and so on as |big|
some people see obese people as "big"
so exactly what are you trying to say? i know guys who weigh less than i who are older and have more muscle and look " bigger "
there are many factors so explain you damn tool...going full blast!

Years of solid training with a diet that is rich in protein, complex carbs, and essential fats will get you big.
2500 calories on me would probably leave me at around 135 lbs since I have a really fast metabolism. I have to eat much more than that. On the other hand, I have seen 2500 calories support people who are 150-160 pounds. So it really depends on your metabolism. Just make sure you are getting quality nutrients and lifting hard. Your metabolism will shoot up and it will MAKE you hungry to eat more.

i've put on a lot of weight since i started BBing in December. i was a tiny 132lbs then; now i'm just under 150 (turns out i've lost weight - i've been doing a bit of cutting recently).
also, what supplements do you take? taking supplements helps you gain more quicker.
