Andreas Munzer is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. I wonder if his death was steroid related. I guess that it can also be argued that Mike Mentzer's death was premature.

just a bit Tim......Mike and Ray Mentzer both died at 50 ,Hans Hoffenbien of whatever his stupid name is died at 40 something...
It's hard cos the major league juicers are only just coming up for their premature deaths.....the Arnie/Mentzer/Columbu generation weren't anywhere near as bad as this lot ......Ed Corney is a walking and sitting heart attack machine now....
A ****load of them are having heart trouble but still going strong/ish -Arnie.
It will be interesting to see how long the GH monsters like Ronnie and Ruhl last.

Johnny Perry, died two weeks ago. 6'5" 390 pound strongman competitor, he was 29 years old. Heart attack.
BTW Munzer died from diuretics, not steroids.
Not amny deaths have been caused by steroids. Not nearly as many as Alcohol. Also a lot of the use of steroids by Pro's is very exagerated. Being of large size along can shorten life span. An enlarged heart will also shorten life span, and you heart may enlarge after continued use of steroids for many yewars at high doses. Obese people die all the time from heart attacks. I bet if you looked at the heart attack rate of over weight people it would be compareable to that of hardcore steroid users. In all honesty the pros who use steroids and have related health problems knew the risks to begin with. I think a lot more of the porblems are not aused by the steroids, I think it has more to do with, diuretics, stimulants, and he biggest culprit; Avoidance of cardio!

Steeve Reeves was only 76 or so when he died. For a guy that was in such great shape, that's quite young.

Having seen Art Atwood at the NOC a couple of weeks ago, suffice to say that if I were a life insurance salesman I'd be in no hurry to call upon him. He had a big swollen-looking gut and was quite out of breath when he spoke briefly to the audience after his (not very exhausting looking) routine.
