The way the ezbar curls is shaped though puts more stress on the forearms than the straight bar.
i remember using a straight bar for the longest time. then i switched to an ezbar and i could REALLY feel the bis working.
i thought the ez bar took stress off the forearms, not added.
isnt that why when people complain about their forearms getting sore people tell them to switch to ezbar?

This is how I think of it. When your grip an ezbar, your arms are in a half hammer/barbell curl position. This adds more stress to the forearm. When you grip a straight bar, your arms are supinated and biceps are already flexed.
ya i didnt think of it like that.
well i DO get a better bi workout from ezbar. but it could just be psychological since its CALLED a curl bar

I have to use the EZ bar for barbell curls, as the straight bar simply makes my wrists really sore. I trend to feel the EZ bar more on the inside forearms, but also more in the biceps.
I find the weight isn't changed by the bar.

The EZ Curl bar puts more stress on your forearms and straight puts more on biceps. Arnold actually used the straight bar.
EZ Curl bar is only good for people whos wrists can't take the straight bar and most people are misinformed, so if you are having bad wrist problems with the straight bar do the curl bar. If you want the best bicep growth then use the straight bar since it puts more pressure and focuses more on your biceps.

Well said , i agree with your opinion on the ez curl bar putting more stress on the forearms!
I'm going to have to disagree with this.
now this is only what i've noticed, so this is all i'm basing my opinions on
my forearms fugged up. okay, when i take a straight bar, shoulder-width grip, it hurts like a mofo
when i take a ez-curl grip, very minimal pain.
when I do a db curl(palms-facing forward), minimal pain
when i do a hammer curl, hurts like a mofo
just based on that, i would say that a straight bar uses the forearms more than an ez-curl grip does. of course, i may be wrong, i'm just stating my observationsBooo
