hello every one i was just curiouse to see if there are any african hunters on here

i was in botswana in 04 hunting buffalo and elephant here is a picture of me with my tusks the bull elephant was shot with a 700 nitro express double rifle made by butch searcy


i had alot of pics on my computer but lost them when i reformated wich means i have to rescan abunch of them i aloso have pics with me and the elephant and some of the other animals.

thousands of people every year hunt there and no im not poaching i had a licence to shoot that elephant and im going back in 07 to hunt 4 more.

I've never been hunting in Africa, but I would love to go. I don't really care much for elephant, but I would love to hunt antelope there. Supposed to be a lot like deer in terms of meat also!

you can hunt wight rino in south africa starting at around 30,000$ us per tag+ daily rate.

black rino is illegal to hunt except for yearly auctions going up to 1,000,000 us dollors.

i donated all the meat to a local village of about 200 people that gave them enough protiend properly rationed for nearly 2.5-3 monthes

i also kept some of the hide and made my self a leather couch and made some leather hand bags and guns cases.

i did eat some of it my self but of course it hard to eat 14,000 pounds of elephant your self might as well share.

african hunts are pretty expensive..my dad was spose to go down a couple summers ago..we might go bowhunting for cape there the summer after this one.
but yea rhino hunting is illegal..the only way people hunt rhino is when they pay big money just to shoot it with a strong sedative so they can take a picture with it..pretty lame but yeah. thats the only way you can hunt rhino legally im pretty sure.

I live in Africa (Dem, Rep, of Congo) and believe it or not I have not been able to hunt or fish for that matter yet.

I was supossed to go elk and water buffalo hunting a year ago with some bussiness man, but he never contacted back with me.

i dont know about hunting these kind of creatures. as long as theyre not too endangered its ok i guess. and especially if you put the whole animal to good use and didnt kill it just for its tusks.

I would be pissed if it was wasteful.
