Branch Warren is the most overrated guy in the whole sport. Of course he has a good physique, but there are just far too many people acting as though he is hands down the best there is, which is just ridiculous.

Branch Warren is not overrated. Two first place finishes last year, and two second place finishes thus far this year. Once he etches his back detail more and brings up his arms a little, he could be the next mr. olympia after jay cutler.

I would like to see some other pros get some of the credit they deserve, as long as Ronnie and Jay show up in shape, they will always place 1st and 2nd. The predictability of the Mr. "O" is rediculous. Granted they both have pysiques worthy of their placings, but they are not the only ones.

Is it just me...or do Ronnie's calves always look just "eh" compared to the rest of his physique. He still has the most quality muscular development of anyone in the world, that is why he has dominated this sport for the past 8 years. Guys have out-shredded him, out-symmetried him, and in some form been bigger than him (Ruhl for example), but no one has been able to combine them all like he has, no even Cutler, and I'm a Cutler fan.

eh, the other person has to win at least once in a while for it to be a rivalry. And if you look at the scoring it the competition between the two of them hasn't even been close except for a couple of years.

It's like a football team saying they have a rivalry with a team that has handed them their asses 8 years in a row. That is not a rivalry.

The gut thing is related to HGH use. HGH entered after Lee haney, and helped create the one and only yates.
Hgh is what has allowed bodybuilders to get to insane weights, and sub 4% bf levels. The gut, along with new bone mass (can make peoples faces look different, along with increased size in hands knees and elbows) is the trade off for an other wize side effect free substance. Considering that it allows, it's not uncommon for pro's to take it year round with out break and is what really has led to these huge wlines.
How ever some bodybuilders for example dexter jackson, don't have the extended gut (im not saying he doesnt take hgh but it doesn't appear so) and to many people have a better "look". However todays bodybuilding is more based on actual muscle tissue then it is how good some one looks. Although this seems upsetting that we will never see another frank zane winning the oylmpia, it was nessecary as many amature bodybuilders today are the size of yesteryears top champs. For example other then upper arm and chest messurement you wouldn't be very hard pressed to find an amature with simlar (or maybe even better) messurments then arnold and the like.

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder but to me Ronnie looks more like a failed experiment by a mad scientist than a bodybuilder.
Again, this is my personal view and I'd rather see people like Zane and the others that I mentioned before.
Somehow I am sure that a lot of people rather identify or cheer for more "natural" physiques rather than the freaks, or am I wrong?

OK, do I think Ronnie is an impressive bodybuilder, yes. Is he the best bodybuilder on the planet, according to the IFBB, Yes. Do I personally think so...NO. My reason is as follows, bodybuilding is ment to create a pleasing physique worth admiring. Having outstanding symetry (sp), muscle mass, vascularity, and definition. Look at the dwindleing crowd at the MR. O. Bodybuilding isn't even televised anymore. Most people on the street think of bodybuilding as a freak show because of a TLC special on Valentino.

At one time, bodybuilders were admired for their condioning. They were the ultimate fitness example. Now, deformed freaks that are dehydrated and carb depleted to a dangerous level. To the average person, bodybuilding is viewed as unhealthy because of a handful of Pros.

I felt that guys like Franco, Arnold, Wahler, had health physiques. Bob Paris was an absolute statue. Even guys like Flex and Shawn. The bloated, size is everything mentality is got to go. Guys that inject synthenol are losers. They look ridculious, and let's call them exactly what they are, CHEATERS. And I do not blame the athletes, it the damn judges that have caused the downfall of the Olympia. Hope the new pro division cleans it up. Sorry about the ranting.

GH, IGF-1 and insulin. All those started with Yates' reign, and they've been increasing in "popularity" ever since.
