    alternative for stiff-leg deadlifts?

    my legs workout looks like this:

    Barbell Squats (3 sets)
    Dumbbell Lunge (3 sets)
    Leg extension (2 sets)
    Leg curl (3 sets)
    Stiff leg deadlift (2 sets)
    Standing calf raise (3 sets)

    im fine with all that, except i absolutely hate Stiff leg deadlifts because i end up hurting my back more than anything. its really annoying. i love regular deadlifts, but i cant stand these. can anyone recommend somethign to replace this exercise?

    You might try hyperextensions/Glute-Ham Raises (http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/...eHamRaise.html) or I might also recommend trying the SLDL's with dumbbells as opposed to a barbell (http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/...gDeadlift.html) .

    im no professional by any means but the same problems use to happen to me. Now i stretch out the area by doing trunk twisters and rotating my upper body in a circular type motion if that makes sense. I also use a little less weight and have had no problems since.
