Slyng's Figure and Olympic Weightlifting Journey
I just started going to the gym in October 2005, so I am very new to this. I had always been interested in general fitness and nutrition but didn't quite know what to do with myself other than stints of Pilates and yoga and attempts to cut trans fats and refined sugars out of my diet. I also had a gym phobia - big time.
As someone who has always been pretty tiny, becoming more active and paying attention to what I ate caused me to lose weight, which wasn't really the goal, but ...
thanks to a couple friends, I started going to the gym in October armed with a great workout and diet plan with the goal of GROWING and getting stronger in mind - I was hooked. I was doing 4-6 days/week...a 2-day split with varied rep ranges.
For the past three months, I have been doing push/pull/legs with 1-2x/week frequency. I have grown more comfortable with the lifts and am still working on adhering to the diet.
I think I have a fairly fast metabolism and fairly low bodyfat. I started out in October at 97 lbs and now weigh 108 - I think most of this growth has been muscle. (I'm barely 5'2).
This past week, I reached two goals, which inspired me to start a journal to keep me motivated:
I finally did unassisted pullups and ATG squats with pretty much my bodyweight (105x5)
I'm striving to eat 160g of carbs, 160g of protein and about 40g of fat each day, with specific amounts and types of carbs and protein depending on whether pre- or post-workout.
Today is a push day ... stay tuned!

Push
In chronological order:
DB One Arm Lateral Raise (I know this is actually a pull...)
10 x 5/5
x 5/5
x 5/5
x 5/5
x 5/5
DB Incline Bench Press
25s x 5
x 5 --> I have been doing this with 25s at my university's gym for the past few push days and was feeling ready to increase it, but today at my regular gym, maybe the different shape of the dumbbells was making it reallly difficult...so...
22.5s x 5
x 5
25s x 5
DB Standing Shoulder Press
20s x 5
x 5
x 5
x 5
x 4 --> again, thought I was ready to increase the weight on these but it just felt a lot heavier with this gym's dumbbells
Dips
with 20 lbs assistance x 5
x 5
x 5
x 5
x 5
Pectoral Fly Machine
45 x 8
x 8
x 8
Tricep Pushdown with Rope
30 x 10 --> this is low for me...the weight I can use varies so much depending on which machine I use
35 x 8
x 10
My favourite day is Leg day b/c I love squats, followed by Pull day now that I can do unassisted pullups - just waiting to be able to do unassisted dips and maybe I'll love Push day too!

Nice work!
I just have a couple little suggestions.....
On a day you do overhead presses for shoulders (seated or standing), I would do some flat DB flies or maybe decline presses for chest if you want to. Inclines and overheads are very similar so that might limit how much you can use on those lifts.
The only other thing I'd change would be to move the laterals until after the compounds. You don't wanna pre-exhaust when part of the goal is getting those compounds up - which is why it's fine if isolation movement poundages (on laterals, flies, etc) don't increase all that much.

Been awhile, this training shtick is hard stuff and takes up all my time. Your posing is coming along great, not that I am an expert by any means. Shaun holds posing seminars, you should try to get to one this fall, will on;y increase your knowledge and give you the upperhand, not that you need one, look at you. Glad you aren't competing against me either, lol.
Take care of you!
