Stop drinking water now, or anything else. You can spit away 2 pounds by tomorrow. Get some Hubba Buba and start spitting into a cup. 1 liter = 1 kg ( 2.2lbs ) You would be surprised on how much you can spit. I know it's gross, but it works.

cut out food also, bring a bottle of pedialyte to restore your electrolytes after weigh in and a small meal to restore energy.

Look, two pounds is nothing. Go put on a hoodie and run for 20 minutes, that should be around one pound. You'll probably float the rest off (floating weight means doing nothing yet losing weight, you can float 3-4 pounds sleeping if properly hydrated, around 1 if you aren't properly hydrated).

Kathy: Where'd you come up with that theory?
Mitch: That famous guy said it. What's his name? Uh... Oh, yeah: Jesus!

Im not a powerlifter and have never been to a competition or anything of the like, but just a small question i would like answered.

When is the actual lifting in comparision to the weigh in? Afterwards? and if so by how much time?

From what I know weigh-ins are almost always well before the competition.
By how many hours depends on the meet

ya but after that weigh-in, the hotel wished they had never put in an "all you can eat" buffet. especially with 150 other lifters. lol

have your last meal at around 8 and make it kinda light... weigh in tomorrow, you will make weight and make sure that you get some kind of small bar or sandwhich but dont stuff yourslef right away with food because you need to stuff yourself with water first.... make sure you weigh in as early as possible so you have time to rehydrate yourself before the first lifts and after you get around 32 oz of water in you system wait a little while if your not to stuffed and get a sports drink, some more food and caffine. assuming your competition starts at 10:00 you should get all that water down by say 8:30-8:45 and the rest of the stuff down by 9:15-9:30... then just sip on water or another sports drink during each lift and in between each lift crush a sandwhich... well not every single lift or attemp but every exercise like after squat is done, and after bench is done
i weighed 182 the day before a meet in shorts and a t-shirt and planned on going in at 185... i ate and everything the night before but just didn't eat in the morning just incase and weigh-ins were only 10 minutes away from the motel... anyways though i weighed in at 174.8lbs and made the 175lb weight class and didn't even plan on it(it was a highschool meet so the weight classes were a lil different) and my friend weighed 167 and ate that night with water but didn't eat anything past 8, nothing in the morning, and weighed in at 161. so even if you treat it like a normal day you will still make weight... i would bet that you probably weigh at least 3-4 pounds more at the end of the day than you do in the morning after a **** and piss.

i weighed 182 the day before a meet in shorts and a t-shirt and planned on going in at 185... i ate and everything the night before but just didn't eat in the morning just incase and weigh-ins were only 10 minutes away from the motel... anyways though i weighed in at 174.8lbs and made the 175lb weight class and didn't even plan on it(it was a highschool meet so the weight classes were a lil different) and my friend weighed 167 and ate that night with water but didn't eat anything past 8, nothing in the morning, and weighed in at 161. so even if you treat it like a normal day you will still make weight... i would bet that you probably weigh at least 3-4 pounds more at the end of the day than you do in the morning after a **** and piss.
that was a waste of time considering he weighed in a 8 this morning. LOL. I feal bad for you writing that out. lol

2 lbs shouldn't even be an issue.
