Mine are 17" and they look tiny. My cousin has 17" (also 6'3) and his look humongous. Its all how they look that matters.

All a matter of perception - My biceps might look massive on an 18 year olds body (who never lifts) - but look like tooth pic on ronnie coleman.
Go for proportion first, if it looks in proportion of your body then youre heading in right direction.
If you want BIG Biceps - Greg Valentino - now that dudes biceps are classified as BIGGGG (or as Gabriel Iglasias would say.. DAMN!) - (and yes it was half synthol)

Old tread...lmao
Everyone holds weight different. Depends on how much water/BF the biceps have too.
I am 5'7" and my arms are 15.75" and from what people tell me look huge and I am lower bf and decent tri's

It depends on several factors - bf, length of the muscle, arm length, overall frame size, size of wrists.
My arms are 15.5 cold at 6'2 and I got quite a few remarks from non-bb people along the way. 15.5 cold is nowhere near big for someone 6'2 but because of my thin frame, small wrists and relatively low bf, arms look kinda big to most people who are not used to seeing huge guys in the gym.

Agree
I'm 6'1, 212, 17 inch arms. I agree with what a lot of people say. As I grow, I feel like the people around me just get smaller as opposed to me getting bigger lol. My only condolence, is these fatceps seated preacher curl 55lb dumbells for sets. Which one of you cut mofos with 15 or 16 inch arms can say that?

Quick question for you guys, so my arms around 15.5" cold and 16ish pumped and they look pretty good when flexed, however if I have my arm straight down by my side, no muscles flexed, I'm betting my arm is 2" smaller... Ill need to measure for exact size, but is this the same for others as well..
I will admit though, I have pretty good bicep peak but my arms feel small when at rest by my side.
I'm 5'10 162lbs

it's been said over and over again. When it comes to arms 'looking' big it's all about how lean you are and the amount of definition you have. So actual size is not as relevant when comparing to body fat/definition, a chubby w 18" arms is nothing special
16" diamond cut arms > 18" "fatcepts" ALL DAY LONG

my 15.7 inch biceps look bigger then everyones 19 inch biceps at the gym for one reason
my forearms are only 10 1/2 inches which make my biceps look HUGE
so even a 15 inch bicep can be BIG
if there is an > 4 inch gap between your biceps and forearms its going to look aesthetically crazy
If I had 19 inch biceps I would want 12 inch forearms so it looks crazyLast edited by rnldmcfkngdonld; 02-20-2015 at 02:40 AM.

I'm only 14.5 right now. It's the illusion. At 14.5 my arms look better flexed and while working out than 16. But at 16ish they looked better cold standing in a shirt.
17" arms below 10% body fat is big.

I agree. I have 15.5" arms and am decently defined. People tell me my arms look big, but noone goes out of their way to say so. Usually I'm just the guy people come to to move 300# patients and get hit up with "Hey, we need some of your muscle over here". I just started another job and worked with these people for 2 days and was getting comment like that. Did anyone ask me about working out? No. Did anyone stare or act impressed? No. but they did "notice". Kindof like driving a Corvette. Everyone knows it's a sporty car, but noone runs over to talk to you about it. Now, if you have 17"+, I've observed that you are a topic of discussion "out in the world", so to speak, if it's defined. I had a roommate with 17" arms who was 5'7" and he got a ton of attention. The guy was legit big, and from one straight guy to another, he had good looks. Women loved everything about him but his personality, lol. Anyway, yeah, he got serious notice for the guns.
But then again...I went to summer camp with a guy who had probably 14" arms, but he was single-digit body fat, and ALL the campers (we were counselors) were always talking about how buff he was. Never-mind that he wasn't very strong and had no size on him, really. He was shredded, and to the kids, he was the buffest counselor. Kids don't lie, so that's a darn good barometer. If it looks some certain way to a 5 year-old, then that's how it looks, dammit!God is in the details
