As bodybuilders/powerlifters ourselves, we recognize and appreciate the hard work and discipline that is required of each of these sports. Because of our interest, we would like to draw attention to each of these sports within an academic setting. We are conducting a research survey to examine motivational factors and stigmatization within each sport. If you agree to participate in this study we will ask you to complete an online survey. We invite you to participate in a research study being conducted by investigators from The University of Iowa. The purpose of the study is to assess the personal characteristics of individuals who choose to participate in the sports of bodybuilding and powerlifting, as well as look at changes in motivational factors and positive and negative social experiences due to participation in either of these sports.
Your organization President is distributing this invitation. The researchers have not been given any identifying information about you.
