I like to chew gum too. I've found that chewing a very strong flavored gum will reduce the time that you chew it. If you chew fruity flavors where the gum lasts about 10min, then you'll chew a lot. Chew something like Orbit that has a seriously strong flavor. After you are done with that piece, it will reduce the chance of having another piece. At least it does IMO.
my 2 cents

Most gum really wont do anything. The dentene brand gum has a whooping 3 calories in each peace. In otherwords, nothing. I bet you burn more then that of while chewing it.
Of course, im talking sugar free gum here.
I think gum can help alot of people that are trying to work with a calorie deficit or are on a diet which consists of mostly liquid foods as the body ges used to the actual chewing part of eating.
I dont think I would want to consume that much gum personally though, sure the artificial sweeteners have realistically no effect on anything when consumed in moderation, but 3 packs of gum a day isnt moderation.
