i think the egg whites might be cheaper in the long long run... im not sur ehow much a gallon would make, but i assume its cheaper cos most all resturants use egg whites..
-- why do they have it as 2 half gallons and not just 1 gallon?

great stuff, but it's pretty damn expensive... a nice, quick way to get some great protein, but I guess I do have the time to boil some eggs and peel it to save 25 bucks a week

Interesting product. Is this the same type of protein I see in power butter and Ergopharms muscle butter? I mean it just sounds like the type of egg white protein they would use.

They say 14 dozen egg whites in one gallon...no more spending the money for yolk that you throw away, and convenient! You can freeze a gallon in yur freezer for a very long time and if I remember, the gallon will stay fresh in your fridge for about 3 months. I'm giving them a try to see how I like them. Oh, one pump is equal to 1.25 egg whites. :-)

the cost comes out to be 20 cents per egg white.
when you can go to costco, buy 90 eggs for 7 dollars.
egg white int: egg white = 20 cents
costco: egg white = about 7 cents.

Just like anything else, you are paying for the convenience of not having to seperate eggs and being able to keep them frozen for a long time. I agree that they are costly..plus, when you add in shipping...8-0!!

I guess another advantage they say is that these egg whites can be drank right from the pump because unlike the eggs you buy at the grocery stores, they "are pasteurized, salmonella tested, USDA & Kosher approved. In addition, they are double filtered to have the consistency of milk." For more info, where I got this from: http://www.eggwhites-international.com/
Very interesting....

Did someone say "safe to eat"? These babies are ready to go, no getting sick from "bad eggs".

Costco also has generic eggbeaters, which is 99% pastuerized eggwhites. You get 6 small cartons, which looks to be equal to about half a gallon.
It costs $6. So $12 vs $38 for half gallon..... hmmm
