sldl form
what is the correct form? legs totally straight? a little bent? ive heard different things and i want to try to hit the hams as well as back. thanks in advance!
(Tried doing these the other day with totally straight legs, not sure if i need to keep back totally parallel and go as far as possible that way or just bend the back and go all the way down)

Keeping a slight bend in the knees gets the best stretch in your hammies.

Knees should always be slightly bent because if you lock them out, you can irritate your sciatic nerve and pass out or damage the menisci. Keep back totally straight, gaze up slightly to prevent arching. I always just went until the 45's were almost touching the floor, but if you're using smaller plates just come up when you feel the stretch in your hammies. If you bend too far forward, you won't be able to prevent rounding your back.

As the others have said... legs slightly bent
Back in a neutal position... which will have a very small arch... never let it make a downwards C shape... and so build up the weight slowly...

Bump. Also look forward, not down, as you lift (if you're in front of the mirror, keep a lock on your own eyes till you get it down)...

I find I get the best stretch with knees slightly bent, and my feet together, not should width. Keep your back straight. Go as far as you can while keeping your back straight.

Also, keep the bar and close to your body as possible. Everyone has pretty much hit it on the head.
