Question GVT Workout

Has anyone ever tried German Volume Training?? I went to start my HIT progrma last week and a guy at the gym told me HIT was useless and I should go look up GVT. He did it, and he is huge. He said its easy to gain 10-15lbs of muscle in 6-8 weeks. So I would like to know if anyone eles ever tried it and what their results were.....

I have never personally tried it
but I like the basic concept behind it
I would like to read more about it if anyone has a link help me and this guy out )

here's something more constructive
I helped a guy gain 1/4" on his biceps with 1 workout, and it was definatly volume training
eat that you buncha HIT nazi's
(also helped Jesin gain 6/10 " and Q gained 1/10th", also DoctorX2k2 gained 1/4")

and btw, I can Hammer Curl the 120's dangit!

March: 275+
April: 265
May: 260
June/July/August: 255
Late Sept: 245 (all +/- 2 lbs)

It wont produce the most symetrical muscles, its highly debatable whether it will actually produce gains at all, but it may be good for a plateau buster or shock training week.

Great Plateau buster, but boring

I tried this with one of my "Hardgainer" clients. Doing 10 sets of 10 Reps of any one exercise gets extremely tiresome after the 3rd week and you got 3 more weeks to go!!. Also, not everyone strength curve is the same, so the first couple of sets that you'll be able to get the 10 reps, but then as you get closer to that 10th set, it gets harder and harder to reach 10 reps.

My client actually loved the results he got. Stronger bench press/ leg press. And he did gain some mass, but not as much as he wanted.

I started gvt 2 weeks ago and I think I'm starting to see a little more fullness in my upper body already. It is a very tough routine. I have never sweat as much weightlifting as I have doing gvt. I am following Charles Poliquin's gvt routine and I'm very excited to see my final results in a few weeks. I'll keep you posted.
