Question to the guys that cardio ALOT..........
The last few weeks i've been upping my cardio to 45-60 mins a day, Its going great but the problem is i've been getting chaffed on the inside of my thighs everytime i walk...........Sometimes i even get boils on the inside of my leg where the chaffing happens.
Do any of you guys get chaffed often? What do you do for it?

you could use some gold bond medicated powder, or tinactin as a powder spray that works pretty well. just be careful, it'll sting a bit at first. you get used to it though. hope this helps.

Wear compression shorts. Guaranteed fix.
Spandex under your basketball shorts basically.

I always get chaffed. I've just been rubbing deodorant on my inner thighs which has actually helped. Back in the day I used baby power or gold bond.

Yeah compression shorts are my best friend since I started running alot. I'm sure baby powder/gold bond would work just as well...hell do both.

Nike's Pro Fit Spandex-type shorts. I swear by them. I run about 30-40 miles a week and have to have them. Go thru a pare about every 4 months. They are about $25, but worth every penny.

Yep, spandex or compression shorts. When it's cooler outside I actually wear a full body neoprene wetsuit as it really enhances warmth.

There it is. I've worn Under Armour compression shorts for years now and couldn't work out in anything else. So much more comfy than boxers.

I've been getting super dry skin...mostly from running and sweating...and then showering twice a day. I've been putting lotion on after showering...seems to help a little bit. If you really want to get rid of the chaffing...the best thing is to get those "biker shorts" that you can wear under your regular shorts...then are smooth when they rub against each other and pretty much ends chaffing. I had the same problem when i was in football until I got those shorts.

Vaseline works too. Sounds weird, but it isn't. Take a glob of vaseline and apply thickly to your inner thighs. It cuts the chaffing.

Yeah the thing with using baby powder is that by the end of the workout its all like pancake batter down there- Ralphie May if anyone saw is standup...hilarious.
Anyway I usually wear sweatpants and it seems to avoid that problem. I don't know if you wear sweats though.

agreed, I'm in the military and run many many miles/week the under armour shorts saved my legs a great deal of chaffing.
one thing though, if you get the under armour ones, the tag goes in the back (dont ask)

I do cardio 5-6 times/week. When it starts chafing, I use a generic cortisone cream and that seems to take care of it.

I agree with the baby powder and the compression shorts idea to stop the chaffing. They both have worked for me before.
