    My tummy sticks out, help!

    Hey im really happy with the way i look, except for my stomache cause it sticks out abit.

    I weight 150, im 5 10". And basically i'd like to know what to do to make my stomache not stick out so much. I'm guessing i just have to lower my body fat percentage and just tone the area?

    Also whats the difference between toning and building? They're the same thing aren't they? Why do people say toning or building muscle when it's the exact same thing. Or is it the difference between doing muscle building excersizes and excersizes that will increase your strength and muscle density without increasing the size?

    depends on what you mean by stomach sticking out. If you mean that ther is a little elevation right after (or not long after) you've eat a meal. Then its normal.

    yeh hale, moreso like that, it just seems like most peoples stomaches dont stick out that much after they eat, or are pics of men with flat toned stomaches taken long after they've eaten to get the best possible effect? Also it could be in my head a bit because you know how you look down an you can see it bulging, yet when you look in a mirror it doesn't look that bad.

    The fact that you're 5'10" and 150lbs leads me to believe you haven't lifted very often in your life. Some weight-bearing exercise should really help you out. I'm assuming you are an ectomorph and have trouble adding mass. Adding some muscle will tighten up your body. Eat good whole foods, lots of protein, and lift heavy things. Good luck.

    You weigh a little less than me, and you're a little taller than me. I don't really have much of a stomach so I'm betting your lean body mass is pretty low. Try building up some muscle to make your body firmer and appear less fat.

    im 5'7 150 also and i have a gut if i relax my stomache i dont think it will ever go away but i walk around with it sucked in pretty much all the time , i guess thats what ab muscles are for?, but ya if you figure out how to get rid of it let me know.

    Its werid, I am 6"3, 230lbs 13%bf, Been lifting for over 5 years yet when I rest my stomach it sticks out so far, I can make it stick out or in insaly deep. Its funny, whenever my friends get drunk they tell me to get the fat stock look, when i stick out my stomach, i swear it looks like im pregant.
