    missing a lifting day?

    hey,

    i lift on MWF, but today (monday) i started a new job, plus the stupid daylight saving day, so i only slept like 5 hours last night.....

    anyway, im pretty tired, and my legs feel all tired and beat, i really don't think i could squat, defintly not balls to teh wall like usual......

    my question is, is there much harm from missing a lifting day? and can i do a "make up" day or something?

    maybe i'll just switch to tuesday / thursday/ saturday for this week? is that a bad idea?

    My opinion is to just take the day off. It probably won't hurt you, in fact, it could help you. There is a great article on it called "Shut up & Grow!"

    Yeah I heard about something like this...

    Like say you lift 60lbs in one week, you rest a week, you could possibly lift more the next time you return to the gym... I read something like this in Arnold's encyolopedia...

    I am sure missing one day isnt a big deal. I wouldnt overtrain to make up for it.

    It won't hurt you. Just adjust your schedule to when you can lift this week. I took yesterday off to rest. And go grocery shopping. lol

    I agree with the others, take a day off even if you don't "make it up" your body will make it up later and it may help too with resting. The main thing is that you don't need to let it mess with your head! I know that happens to me some and I just gotta think in big picture terms then!
