A few competition pics from Saturday..
Still 6 weeks out from the Oregon Ironman, but this show was a great prep for me. I ended up going against prolly the top heavy weight in Oregon and washington(he was 3 weeks out from another show)
I kinda sabotaged myself the last couple of days. The carb-up got a bit out of hand. I don't think I will carb deplete and load again, nor will I try to cut water. I looked hella better a week before the show just doing my normal routine.
Anyway, he beat me, but this is my first show and it was probably his 20th, I'm 24, he's 40, ao i am very happy and look forward to beating him next time!
I am the tall white guy on the left, the winner(Twayne Rawls) is the black guy.

I actually came accross it all too late, but it will be handy for my next show. As for now, its time to get back on the saddle again.

I guess if the pics were closer up, it might be different. But from the distance of the pics, it looks like you're the better man on stage.
Regardless, good job in this competition and best of luck for your next one in 6 weeks.

Thanks.. I have heard the same from many, but it just gives me the reason to work that little bit harder for this next show.
As layne pointed out, i need posing working, get my pre-comp nutrition down, and try not to leave everything to the last minute.
Funny story.. I planned and practiced my posing routine on the way to the show for the evening show
I have all these things on check now. Got a posing coach, read up on Soudium and potassium loading, and I have already planned my 6 week diet and training for the IronMan. I can't wait to redeem myself. I have a real taste for this now.

Great attitude.
The test of a true winner is recognizing weaknesses or mistakes and correcting them. I predict success at your next competition.

Wow! You look great... though it's a bit hard to judge from these far-away pics. Anyway, good luck on the next comp. You've got amazing size-- so if you can get everything to fall into place, you should do really well. Keep us updated.

I thought you looked great up there-is that the open class or your specific class?
Does anyone know Twayne's height and weight? I am guessing you outweigh him but he looks about the same height.

This is my honest opinion just based on these pics. (I'm never fond of stage pics.) In the rear double bi shot, you need to bring the hammies in tighter, and focus on building up those calves. Like others have said keep practicing your posing and nail it!
Congrats on a job well done...best of luck with your next show!
