Unhappy getting fat after a show

Anyone have any advice for not gaining tons of weight after a show-- how much is too much if you want to eat everything? How close to comp. weight do most of you stay? What is realistic? What kind of post-comp. nutrition routine do you into?

I will only be doing my first show in June but I plan on just having a ton of pizza and stuff that night and keep up with the workouts the following week (and eating clean). Gradually I'm going to bump my carbs up and switch some sources (less oatmeal, add some spaghetti instead of brown rice) but I hope to stay lean for the rest of the summer, then start bulking in the fall. I've heard too many horror stories about guys who binge and have their ankles swell and all that!! I eat clean year round, so it's usually not a problem for me.

The name of the game is to be smart after a show. I try to stay no more than 15 pounds out of contest shape. Persoanlly, I feel that figure girls should stay 6-8 pounds out of contest shape(since they compete with a higher BF%). I would go out after the show, enjoy a couple of meals(whatever you want) and then get back on the diet you were on and slowly introduce more quality calories. Thats what I do and it works great. Also, lift hard after the show. Its the best time to grow. With the intoduction of calories, your body goes very anabolic for a brief time and you can make great progress there.

    Hope that helps.
