    a friend of mine says having a bath (or shower) straight after workout screws your results up and cancels your workout out..

    Nah thats BS. How can that affect your results??? As long as you are eating right, working out consistently, taking in plenty of protein, getting enough rest, you will see results.

    About 20-30 min after my workout, I jump in the hot bath with radox muscle soak (of coarse). I lay there for 20 minutes. This gets the nutrients flowing. Then after, I have a freezing cold shower. This is to restart the heart after my workout j/k. Really the cold shower, acts like an anti inflamatry. I stand under it & spreading over my muscles for about 10 minutes. This takes down the swelling.

    A cold shower after a workout may be beneficial for decreasing soreness the next day. It basically slows down blood flow to the area much like what happens when your sprain your ankle or wrist and put ice on it. The initial swelling of the muscles/joints will hinder the blood from flowing correctly and cleanly through the area which will prolong the time it takes to heal the affected area. I have had good results of reducing soreness by doing this.

    And no, it does not interfere with gains. Soreness is not an indicator of growth at all.

    And no, it does not interfere with gains. Soreness is not an indicator of growth at all.
    The human body and medicine. A topic I know about. A cold shower may be beneficial to you for one big reason. Braindx was right. He left out the fact that what happens is as the blood is slowing down, it is actually "backing up" in the vessels as well. That is why your skin will turn red when iced. Your body uses your blood as a natural deterrent of cold by sending the warm blood to that area. This provides the proper nutrients, endorphines, etc to the area effected. I'm not sure how this effects body building and gains as far as what to expect. I'm still in the learning process when it comes to this body building thing!
