So we've gone from 47 pullups in a minute to....
'I could probably do 5, with both arms - one hand on the bar one on my wrist.'
A *ONE ARM* pull-up involves ONE ARM. That means you grab the bar with one hand, and you do a pull-up while the other arm does nothing.

Ha ha, I remember that ****--on the playground, right?
For real though, I don't think those technically count as one-handers because you are still using the other lat to assist your upward movement.
...Not like I could do even one true one-handed pullup....Figured I'd just tell you in a nice way though.

You can hold the elbow with a couple of fingers to keep it in place... I'd see no reason not to count that.
No you can't hold the arm. That's fine to train FOR one armed pullups, but by definition, that's a two handed pullup... that just emphasises one side (and your grip).
