Wink Heart at 180-190 bpm while doing hard cardio?

I recently got some Ephedra from a guy at my gym (dont know anything about the source), and since Ive been taking 1-2 tabs before HIIT (30 mins) or medium/high intensity 90 min runs My hear rate has been sky rocketing.

I dont know how accurate my treadmill heart rate monitor is, but its peaked at just over 190 beats after really hard sprints.

Im reasonably healthy 21 year old male. only train 3 times a week and on a cut atm.

Just wondering if that sounds healthy ? or will my heart expload sooner or later ?

Oh, and the heart rate isnt at this pace for the whole 90 mins.... just for small one-three minute bursts after working real hard.

man ephedra was banned becuase of the amount of heart attacks, I am sure the FDA wouldnt ban a product without good knoweldge. Stop takin it, that is a very veyr high heart rate, ephedra speeds up ur heart, i would be afriad of having a heart attack.

It was unbanned because the FDA exceeded their authority in attempting to ban it, and had insufficient evidence of harm.

Nevertheless, taking ephedra pills of "uknown source" and probably "unknown dosage" strikes me as a bad idea when ephedrine of known quantity and dosage is cheaply available at bb.com.

    Yeah,

Taking ephedra at correct dosage and responsibly= effective and safe

Taking any pills, even if its a multi-vitamin from a random guy at your gym with no dosage information= stupiest thing I have ever heard

I mean how are you even sure its ephedra? What cause he told you it was. You are like a dream customer, please come buy a car from me.

Do yourself a favour and take Ephedrine HCl instead of Ephedra.

Hes isnt exactly a random guy I bumped into, ive been working out with him for a few years and hes been taking on and off too. I have the dosage info, just dont know who the actual source is. The bottle says 'Opti Rip'.

If im 'NOT SURE" its ephedra, what do I do ? get a test kit or what ?

I stopped taking it anyway, after those high heart rates.. after taking it for about 4 weeks.

I also found I got very tired while on it, even with a reasonable diet. but yeah, Im not an expert, and as others have pointed out... im a dumb add

Stopping probably a good idea if it didn't agree with you. :-)

Consider giving ephedrine HCl a shot, though. I didn't much care for the ephedra stuff when it was popular -- rapid heart rate, jittery -- but ephedrine is very clean for me.
