Possible Future Hall of Famers
Putting aside a few ridiculous inductions ( Tony Atlas) and a few questionable ones ( Cowboy Bob Orton etc) the hall of fame rightfully honors some of the greatest Pro-wrestlers who have ever worked with the WWE/WWF.
So lets Name some Wrestlers that you think will almost definately be inducted into the hall of fame or have potential to be eventually inducted.
I'll start
Almost Definately inducted -
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Shawn Michaels
HHH
The Rock
Undertaker
Kurt Angle
Mick Foley
Chris Benoit
Jim Ross
Ric Flair
Very Possible to be inducted in the Future
The Big Show
Trish Stratus
Jerry Lawler
Maybe inducted in the future but have some work to do OR havent been pushed enough yet
Booker T
RVD
Kane
John Cena
Rey Mysterio
Michael Cole/Tazz
Batista
Victoria
Orton
Matt Hardy
William Regal
JBL
Edge
Lilian Garcia
Have Potential
Paul London
Carlito
Shelton Benjamin
Mickie James
Murdoch
Joey Styles
Grisham
Rene Dupree
Ken Kennedy
Melina
Johnny Nitro
Joey Matthews
Brian Kendrick
Lashley
Boogeyman
Add to the list or edit it accordingly

Jake would've been inducted this year, but he turned it down for two reasons.
1. He said, "Brother I'm not ready to retire, there not putting me on the fu**ing shelf."
2. Jake doesn't like the way that Eddie's death was handled.

He should be the first inductee next year. Hopefully his wife or Bret would come back to accept for him.
Beyond them I would say Elizabeth and Davey Boy Smith. It would be nice if the WWE would induct Sting once he fully retires since they own the rights to WCW now.

It's easier to find people who shouldn't be inducted than those who should.
Right now the following should based on several different reasons.
The Dynamite Kid
Tiger Mask
Bruno Samartino
The Ultimate Warrior
Arn Anderson
Jerry Lawler
Rick Rude
Dusty Rhodes
The Fabulous Freebirds
Jim Cornette
The Rock, Austin as well but not for years down the line yet.

Not before those others. Fact is there are many people still more deserving to be in the hall of fame before Owen or Curt. I just believe that the impact has to be more than "they were good workers". There has to be other stuff to. Take DK and Tiger Mask for instance. Both those guys revolutionized how matches are worked and had their styles copied by so many we see today and in the past. Owen and Curt never really did anything that set them apart. I think you can put them in based on workrate though if the person you are judging them against didn't have a necessary impact though. And definately they should go in if the vote was down to them vs Shiek, Perry, Rose, Volkoff, Orton....you name it. But compared to some other, on this list and in the past, sorry to say but no.
And, maybe it's sad to say, but a lot of reason for Owen getting in and no one will admit this because it's not politically correct, but it has to do with him being a wrestler that unfortunately died in the ring and on a grand stage nonetheless.

With a HOF that includes Pete Rose and soon to be William Perry, you chose Tony Atlas and Bob Orton as ridiculous and questionable entrants?

Of course he does.
Was a major draw not only in terms of house shows and ppv's but also in total merchandise.
The guy was consistently over for many years.
He's one of those guys that if you show a picture to a non wrestling fan they will know who he is.
He's easily a hall of famer.

Yes, but popularity isnt the only thing that counts for a Hall Of Fame spot...I liked his energy, but he wasnt all there. He, like Brock, was given pretty much all he had...
...But when Tony Atlas is in it, Warrior easily gets a spot.

Of your 4 lists only 2 deserve to be anytime soon. The King and JR.
Stone Cold and Rock are inevitable though, considering they put the WWE where it is today.

Hey, I'll be the first to admit I am not a 'wrestling historian'. I am only a casual fan. I donot know every single person inducted into the hall of fame in the past and who was not. If I remembered Pete Rose as being inducted in the past I would have put him on the list but I dont. Which is why I made this thread and asked you to edit the list accordingly

Well I can't really "edit" members already inducted...
But, that's cool. Although the only one that throws around mentions of wrestling historian is.......yeah

Lol, no no, I know who you are. I just didn't want to say his name.
Anywho....
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Shawn Michaels
HHH
The Rock
Undertaker
Kurt Angle
Mick Foley
Chris Benoit
Jim Ross
Ric Flair
Yes to all.
The Big Show
Trish Stratus
Jerry Lawler
Yes to all.
Booker T - Yes, based off WCW.
RVD - Yes, based off being one of the biggest names out of ECW, will be champ a few times before long imo.
Kane - In a legit HOF, very iffy. But because of his gimmick, probably.
John Cena - If he has several more reigns, yes.
Rey Mysterio - Yes.
Michael Cole/Tazz - Maybe for Tazz.
Batista - Maybe, really depends how he comes back from his injury and how much of an impact he has.
Victoria - No
Orton - Possibly.
Matt Hardy - Yes, just based off tag team performance.
William Regal - I'm on the fence in this one. Although I'll admit I'm not all familiar with how he did in WCW.
JBL - No.
Edge - Yes, way too many title reigns not to be inducted.
Lilian Garcia - No, Howard Finkle will be in though.
Paul London - No
Carlito - Good chance.
Shelton Benjamin - Give him a manager (Ric Flair!) and probably yes.
Mickie James - No
Murdoch - No
Joey Styles - If he becomes a long term announcer.
Grisham - Hell no
Rene Dupree - Nope, burned out too soon
Ken Kennedy - Has potential
Melina - I think Sunny or Sable have a better shot than she does at this point.
Johnny Nitro - Potential
Joey Matthews - No
Brian Kendrick - No
Lashley - Potentially
Boogeyman - Same boat as Kane. He's already 40 though, so who knows how long this character can keep going. But gimmick wise, wouldn't be surprised, only if he was around for several years.
