    good place to buy weights in Vancouver

    Anyone know a good place to buy weights in Vancouver? I got a nice bench but I need to buy more weights. Right now Im thinking of saving up and in the mean time just joining a gym as pull my money together.

    fitness depot is terrible, yes they have good equipment but it is very expensive.. I live in van, the only place you can buy good equipment is online and through mag and online classifieds. You can also go to department stores like walmart and sears, walmart usually has solid equipment..

    That's not very helpful actually, since you really haven't suggested any viable online alternatives, and neglected to mention that especially to Canada, you're going to pay extra for shipping.

    I don't find the prices high and particularly if you're serious about getting good equipment you have to TRY various comparable pieces by different companies, which you can do at their well-stocked stores.

    Walmart & other comparable stores can't compete re: selection or quality. Used ads are good on price but won't give you any easy way to compare brands prior to purchase, and aren't going to help re: delivery.

    it wasnt your post to tell me if it was helpful or not, so get the f*&k out of here. im in vancouver and i know hes not gonna pay 500 for a sqaut rack in the us and pay 300 and customs. 1000 for a rack hell no!! The best thing here to do is go to department stores, look through classifieds, look at online classifieds and through ebay. Fitness depot is really expensive. Dont order from the u.s because shipping is very expensive and so is customs,
