Hey guys I need some help here. If any of you have a power rack from Powertec then please read this post.
I just received my Powertec Power Rack and was disappointed to find that my rack wasn't the same color as I had originally ordered. I actually ended up getting the light grey one when I had expected to receive the dark grey one. Here are some pics:
So my question to you guys is which one do you have? And if anyone has the light grey one with the dark grey lat attachment could you please post your own pics? This would really help me see the whole thing set up and decide whether I want to return it or not. Thanks!

Was it really necessary to start a brand new thread about this? You're already posting a word-by-word transcript of your chat with Powertec in the other thread about which color the rack comes in.

I can understand your confusion so here's an explanation. I ordered my rack early last week, way before the thread about the light grey vs. dark grey thread was even started. And even then both Powertec and Bodybuilding.com told me that the rack I was ordering was the exact same one displayed on their websites, the dark grey (or black).
Those pics aren't mine. They're just some I found via Google and I put them side by side in order to show a comparison. Let me ask you this...are you able to answer my original question? If so, feel free to share your own pics but until then please refrain from being so nosey.

mines grey looks good but, then again i didnt get a lat attachment that was a different color. do you have a pic of it assembled? it might not look that bad, that black part of the one on the white rack looks pretty cool. powertec sux for sending out 2 different colors though i mean isnt fu(king abvious that people would want matching equipment expecially if they bought them from the same place at the same time?

I ordered on the 17th, and I'm not too happy about the color change- mostly because Powertec simply doesn't feel like they have to tell us. Nobody likes to be surprised like that when you spend a decent amount of money on something.
I will say that the second set of gray pics looks much better. That first grey pic looks f%ckin hideous.
Also, anybody having issues doing chins because of low ceilings: The crossarm that the handles are attached to in the front can be mounted upside-down, and then you mount the handles accordingly.Last edited by alero; 02-24-2008 at 05:22 PM.

Hello GearTripper ,
Looks like you reposted my gym pictures .
Alero ,
Glad you liked my powerrack pictures . I guess you will like the grey color .Another thing to keep in mind .Gym equipment manufactures change colors of the equipment after few years .I guess right now grey is the favorite color of many manufactures. Color change differenciate the new models from old ones very well .Previous season color was white , I guess . Most of the new powerrack , Iron master benches are grey now .

Yeah those new grey pics don't look that bad at all. I'm almost done building mine and I think I'm just going to keep it. Besides, I can always paint it later on if I get the urge. Thanks a lot for everyone's participation in this thread and especially thank you to everyone who posted the pics I requested. Cheers!

I don't believe the initial question had anything to do about the color of equipment building muscle, but rather the color of the various equipment pieces matching or not. I believe it is a valid concern... If you ordered a new black car, but they shipped/delivered/whatever that black car with a red door - would you not be concerned also?

Ya think? If he is so worried about mis matched parts then call up Ptec directly tell em to send the right color parts then. But really, who cares, its a powerrack sitting in a garage. And the rack is all one color anyway, as I cant see any mismatched parts at all, so your analogy is kind of useless here. But even if it was relavent its not a new BMW or Saab were talkin bout here........ lol.

I would suggest re-reading his posts again. You're not grasping the point at all and only making yourself look worse with each additional post you make here. I know you're proud of your red or whatever, but grow up (mentally). The fact of the matter is that HE cares, and that's what's important. The fact that you don't care is of nobody's concern other then your own. As for my analogy, look beyond the object stated and focus on the point of the analogy. An item was purchased to be in one color to which a portion of that item was shipped in another color. That is the issue and nothing else.

Dude, this is a weightlifters forum, not a metrosexual decor forum. To be quite honest this is a useless thread.
The solution is already given. If BillyBobJoe is unhappy with the shade of grey or greys, then call up the mfg. and have them take care of it. Better yet, just get a can of Barbie spray paint and color it to match his curtains.......
