So I broke my dipping belt
While I was performing close-grip chin-ups with relatively light weight (80 lbs) my leather belt ripped right in half. It didn't even happen during a heavy dipping session when I load about 140 lbs on it, which seemed odd to me. The belt is about 15 months old though, so it has been used a lot. I bought it from the store here...it's the grizzly belt seen HERE. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up and maybe somebody can recommend a better one?

I have that one too. I would ask for a refund or a replacement, personally. It failed in its basic purpose. If I ever manage to rip mine, I am gonna cheer.

Yeah, you get what you pay for. I've had mine for a couple years already and I've beat the crap out of it and loaded it up with a ton of plates and it hasn't let me down yet.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I think I'll be contacting Grizzly first to see if they can help me out. If they won't do anything for me, I'll probably be opting for a diesel belt like that IronMind one.

Great product.

I have also bought this dipping belt
its limitations probably will not matter to me at this stage and by the time it wears out I will be getting that iron man one...

I had the atlus one while in afghanistan. It was a good belt, used it for about 6 months. Left it to one of the guys when I left. Most I used was about 115lbs, so I don't know abut going beyond that.

It makes it much easier to use with weights.
