Hi guys.
I usually take 1 protein shake per day at around 3:00 in the afternoon. I am starting to get fed up of the taste and I don't find it is giving me any results. I was wondering if I should maybe replace it with some good snacks like nuts, cheese, or some yogourt. I'm in the ectomorph category. I have trouble putting on weight. What do you guys think?
Thanks.

If you do replace it with real food, make sure it's a meal, and not just a little snack. You say you have trouble gaining weight, so make sure your taking in a good amount of calories. I've always been able to put on weight farely easily, and one thing I do is take in a huge amount of carbs everyday. I'm 5'11'' and weigh a little over 200 w/ about 10-11%bf, so it's not making me fat. I usually take in around 500g of carbs a day. Give this a try and see if you can put on some weight.

It is always good to eat real food instead of a shake, except for right after you work out. So if that 3:00 shake is not postworkout, then by all means replace it with real food. Make sure that you are getting a good amount of complete protein in the food you choose to eat though.~shhhhh just watch~
