Does anyone know of a good, credible resource that would discuss exercise and low white blood cell count? I have read that exercise can lower WBC count, I'm curious to know how much, how strenuous, how often, if the WBC count changes with light days or days off. Thanks!

Well I can't help you there (with a credible resource) , but making an educated guess, I think exercising wouldn't lower your white blood cell count. When it comes to blood there are so many factors that contribute to cell counts and all that, it is hard to figure out exactly what is causing it. There are so many people that exercise that if it did affect white blood cells, there would definitely be lots of info out there about how and why it affects it.
If you are asking this because your white blood cell count is low, You should go to a specialist.
Last month I had a problem with low platelets. They weren't extremely low (nothing serious), but they weren't exactly in the average range. I bruise easily and always wondered why.
I asked the doctor why they were low, and he told me that there were soooo many reasons that the only way to figure out the correct one would be to go to a hematologist and get my blood analyzed.
Good luck on your search
