I've been trying since 8th grade but no matter how much i lift i just cant get that ripped look with the veins in my arms showing. My arms get bigger and you can see the muscel definition in my arms. And I can barely see the viens poke out, but it only happens when i'm working out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Vascularity depends on bodyfat in that area and genetics.
Go take a shower with hotter than normal water, and watch you're forearms, they'll be vascular.United States Air Force DEP - BMT 10 Aug 09

Damn you and your bicep veins!
I'm probably 16% BF and I don't have bicep veins popping. But when I lift my forearms get so many veins popping its actually nasty looking ( to me ). I wish I could move some forearm vein genetics to my biceps. Oh well, once I get my <10% BF I'll be a happy camper.Gain Muscle

Im at 8% as calculated by the hydrostatic water test on the college university campus. If I do about 10 reps on any exercise my veins pop out like I am turning into the hulk. Low bodyfat, clean eating, and genetics can help you get that vascular look. Keep lifting!

It has to do with genetics for one and a low bf % also and to the poster above you have to have below 10% to see a bicep vein if your not genetically predetermined for large veins, there was an article in menshealth about vascularity once. I have ridiculous veins because I have a low body fat and the genetics for it. My veins bulge when I'm doing nothing and sometimes they are less pronounced, it all has to do with your relative blood pressure at the moment.
