Calling all those who have achieved amazing bodies... birth control?

I don't want to blame something that isn't at fault but I can't help but wonder...
Is my birth control keeping me from lowering my body fat to the levels that I really want? I suppose what I'm looking for is some assurance from someone who has dieted down / cut successfully and possibly competed, despite being on birth control pills.

I've never competed but I lost over 40 lbs while on OTC. BC didn't stop me from losing weight. If the scale drifts upward as a result of fat gain, it's MY fault and I have to make the usual corrections.
