Water is stored in different locations, blood stream, cells, urinary bladder, kidneys, etc. Water is also more dense than fat. So loss water would not affect the waist quite the same way, and certainly not other locations such as thighs, neck.
I eliminated the guess work by ramping up my water consumption to 120 ounces per day. Rules out any losses I had that week being due to water.I am a runaway weight loss success, please check my profile to see how I lost 80 pounds in 4 months.

I've heard that, but had not personally noticed it. I think I was limiting my creatine intake back then though. I'll have to research that, don't really know enough to give a good answer.

Some creatine products give people the bloated look because it's water in your muscles which then tend to have a rounded look and your muscles dont look as cut, but the person as a whole wont look fatter either...atleast thats how it is for me. I've gained weight while starting creatine and being on a cut at the same time, but my BF% stayed the same. Weird
