Can someone tell me how forearm measurements are taken? i tried looking on google everywhere but all i keep finding is how to measure it for getting shirts, suits ect.
How is it measured in the body building world?

Forearm Measuring
Bench: 330 Raw, Touch & go, w/ controlled negative.
Deadlift: 410 Raw
Squat: 355 Raw, Deep Squat, past parrallel
Arm Curl 125 Perfect form
Bicep 15 3/4" (Have not arm curled in over 5 months, so size and strength in curls dropped)
At Peak:
Barbell Preacher Curl: 145 X 1 (March 21 2006)
Bicep: 17" (March 24 2006)
5'8" 204 Lbs @ 21% est. BF *Start Date November 1st 2005*

i know its flexed, but flexed how? elbow completely straight, elbow 90* elbow 45* (full pulled in). wrist curved? etc

Look, I'll tell you how it's done. You flex your forearm to make it as big as possible. You can curve your wrist, but I think that will make it a slightly smaller measure. I would just keep a straight wrist. No curve in it. And for the elbow, just keep it straight. Not 90 degrees or 45. Just keep a straight elbow. If you bend your arm in as much as possible, you would get a bigger measure, but it's wrong.
OK, so here's how it's done short and simple. Flex forearm as if you were grabbing something. Don't curve the wrists. Keep your elbow straight. And finally, you measure it near the elbow, because that's where you are the biggest. Okay, I hope that helps.
