A thread on todays posing.
Now just to make it clear I'm not hating on anyone here because I'm a big fan of Darrem Charles and his routines so leave out the "your racist" comments as I got in my Duke Nukem thread. Now to get to the point.....are some of todays routines becoming less involved with muscular poses and more about dancing? how do you give someone best posing award when their routine is 70% breakdancing I thought this was bodybuilding here
Give your opinions I know sometimes it can be boring without some additional entertainment but I think its going a bit overboard. Bob you're welcome to express your opinion here.

o.k., i thought about the same thing also and i think that darrem, melvin and the other guys got the memo, becuase if you notice as of recently they've been adding classic posing to their uptempo posing all in the same routine which is cool, and i think that Melvin is a marvelous classic poser

Well I haven't seen any vids of Darrem posing yet, but I have seen Marvelous. I think he IS great at posing. By posing, I mean the first half of his routines where he hits the shots. Not only does he flow well and have great choreography, but the way he actually hits the various poses is great, which can't be said of all pros (which is surprising, considering that they do this for a living).
As for the dancing, I think it's cool that he can move like that, but I don't really think that should have too much bearing on his POSING.

I also like the more classical posing, it is hard i'll have to admit. But i get really sick of the dancing especially at the small local shows i do. For people who are new to the sport they are going to think their at a strip club or something the way some of the guys dance around up there.
