I had broken my hand. The doctor had adviced me to not pick up training again for 4 weeks and I have waited for 5 weeks and have now started again. But my hand still hurts when I try to do dips and anything overhead... Does anyone have any advice on what to do ?

Have you followed up with your doctor?
If you didn't do physical therapy it's likely it's going to hurt and you may have to do some specific work strengthen the muscles around the area, and eliminate the inflammation. But it may be because it didn't set right either.
Either way you should see your doc before you continue and get it evaled for physical activity again.
Have you been taking vitamin D and calcium supplement as well? These are critical for improving fracture healing faster.
