Question Xtend question

Hi guys

Would really appreciate some feedback on this:

I am about 13 weeks out from my 2nd comp, and have always used the Nutrabolics Growth Factor for Amino's to sip during training. I have decided to change to Scivation Xtend after reading so much about it on the forum. I received it yesterday and the Grape flavour is awesome. Just wondering if anyone thinks that there might be too much sugar in it for during comp prep???
It was really sweet compared to what I am used to and I was just a bit worried about the sugar content.
Also, I take BSN NO Explode just before my work out, which I find really helps, but do I still need a creatine supp. as well??

Any info on this would really help
Thanks
Timmy

You really shouldn't worry too much about sugar content in Xtend. Sucralose is listed as one of the last ingredients so I would assume that there is very little (probably under a gram) but it will account for the sweetness of Xtend.
As for also taking creatine, I would recommend taking some simple monohydrate with your PWO shake. Simply because no-xplode doesn't have that much creatine to begin with, and the whole lawsuit thing about the CM2 not even being in the product. Stay away from products with proprietary blends cause they can get you on that. For example you may notice that Xtend is far less soluble than Nutrabolics Growth Factor. There are usually some white flakes floating around for a while in Xtend... Xtend lists the amounts of BCAA's in there, whereas growth factor uses a proprietary blend, such that the actual amounts of the insoluble BCAA's are likely too small to make a difference. And you probably end up getting a very expensive glutamine drink.
Just my advice. steer clear or "Proprietary blends"
Hope this helps.

Thumbs up Thanks for the info

Hi Finishstrong

Thanks so much for the info, this really helped me decide what I need and what I don't.

Good to know Xtend is fine, as I really enjoy the flavour - was just a bit skeptical - it tasted so good that I felt it must be wrong.....you know the trainers thoughts...."if it tastes really good, it must be bad for you"

Okay, so some creatine PWO and nothing good enough in the Growth Factor!

I have 13 weeks to go, and because I am quite small in my frame, I cannot afford to lose any muscle at all - so I am trying everything to hold on to what I have and lose some body fat - which as you know, is sooooo hard to do.

But, anything is possible - I am hoping to come in better this time around.

Thanks again

T

Question Xtend

Hi there Laurie

I just started taking it this week, but I have 2 scoops, which I sip on during training and 2 scoops post work out...I hope this is enough. But I do supplemet with BCAA tabs during the day as well.

Would be interesting to hear how much others take as well??

By the way, your avi looks great!
