Does anybody think about what they are doing?

I was talking to a friend recently about his training shedule. He has been changing it recently. Anyway I was talking to him about why he trains the way he does. He came up with he does stuff because it feels right! Is bodybuilding not a science! He said that when he does less he doesn't fell he's done enough. Well this is obviously because everyone around him is doing what he used to and everyone that trains at his gym train almost exactly the same way just because everyone else does. Is there anyone that really bases their training on science and logic or do you all go with what everyone else says and does and what feels right!

My training is done entirely on scientific knowledge and not based on my personal feelings really. Even though when I first started my split I did not like it, I have made great gains and I hvae learned to enjoy it.

me, i base it on scientific evidence AND personal feelings. i was working chest today, and barely really did anything even though my work-out told me to do that, so i just added a little pre-exhaust db bench in there, just for kicks, i'm sure it didn't mess me up and ruin my entire work-out career, so if your not really even tired, and you feel like you can just give out that extra push, then do it.

"Everything I do, I strive to be more like you. You've taken me from the depths within and released me, freed me, into what you want me to Be. Every day I live for you, and I devote my life to you. God, you are my salvation, Jesus, my rejuvinator." - Is0, Allen

"Once a person realizes his state of sin, his natural inclination is to find the remedy within himself. He attempts to bring about his own salvation by human means. He tries various reforms when he needs to be regenerated. As with the Israelites, he tries to become justified by the Law rather than by faith in Jesus, Rather than cleaning up the old man, he needs to be made a new man in Christ. He doesn't need to "turn over a new leaf," he needs a completely new life. The only remedy for man's fallen state is salvation by the grace of God through faith in His Son Jesus." - SOS

If you guys ever wanna talk, about anything, whether troubles, problems, christian advice, whatever it may be, I'm here.
