Are protein bars crap??
Okay, so I'm cutting, really watching my diet. I know that some protein bars aren't great sometimes..... some have lots of sugar, I know.
What about Pure Protein bars, or the Power Crunch bars??? They are low on sugar and sugar alcohols, but are they really going to sabotage my efforts?? If they fit into macros/cals for the day, they seem to be a perfect way to kill that damn sweet tooth of mine.
Just curious...

simple anwser. YES.
They dont have what they claim most of the time. Crappy calories. Sugar fat etc. Poor quality protien, vits and mins.
Im doing a lot better with food then the bars. If ur stuck in a bind a shake of Muscle Milk will get u through. Thats pretty good stuff. Slow digesting too.

When I'm in a bind, I like Atkins Morning Advantage Peanut Butter or Double Chocolate Caramel (or something of that nature)
It's yummy and has like 1 or 0 sugar alcohols

I eat a Trioplex bar as a snack mid morning everyday and don't see a negative effect on my physique from them ... and sometimes I will have a Muscle Milk shake ... and as mentioned by someone else, they are great, mix well, tasty and make a good meal replacement.
