2008 Arnold Classic Predictions (Who will place where?)
This year's Arnold Classic is absolutely loaded.
As you all know, the defending champ, Victor Martinez will not be able to compete due to his recent injury.
Like Ironman Pro, there's so many contenders for the top title, but not just that, it'll be a dog fight to be in the top 10 in this line up, even for the top pros this year.
Melvin Anthony, Gustavo Badell, Toney Freeman, Kai Greene, Phil Heath, Dexter Jackson, Johnny Jackson, Ronny Rockel, Silvio Samuel and Branch Warren all won at least one pro contest.
And David Henry, Desmond Miller always ranks high and have been fairly consistant in their outings.
Also, the last minute invite, Moe El Moussawi (3rd Ironman Pro) brings great package and could well be a dark horse.
So. Who will place where? Let the polling and predictions begin!
Competitors:
Melvin Anthony
Gustavo Badell
Adorthus Cherry
Toney Freeman
Kai Greene
Deshaun Grimez
Phil Heath
David henry
Dexter jackson
Johnnie Jackson
Desmond Miller
Ronny Rockel
Silvio Samuel
Branch Warren
Moe El Mowssawi

Whoops...
I meant to have Melvin in 3rd... My bad... ^^
But I don't really see him in the top spot.
I don't think he can beat Dexter on any given day, and I think with Phil's new package, Melvin will not beat Phil either.
Badell VS Melvin, yeah... anyone can win, I think.

ive always prefered melvins shape over dexters, the only thing that lets melvin down is not being able to get conditioned as good as other competitors. im gonna have to put him in at the top spot though, never seen him looking as huge/ripped 2 weeks out of a competion as he does now..

Exactly. The conditioning has been a big factor in Melvin not getting the places he could... And although I was very impressed with his condition at the Ironman Pro when he came out to present the Best Poser award (I thought that award should have gone to Rusty Jeffers by the way...), I'm still not sold on his physique, especially the conditioning when he's up against Dexter and Phil who are known for great conditioning show after show.
That's why I'd have to put him in 3rd behind Phil and Dexter.
Plus, Phil and Dexter both have Melvin's strong points, such as tiny waist, flowing lines, symetry and so forth... so... that's why.

Heath and Dexters weight are very similar, as is their conditioning. It'd be tough to call.
Remember Heath faded a little going from the Colorado Pro to the New York pro, if the same thing happens at the Arnold...he's fighting for top 5.

Yeah. Heath did faded a bit couple of years ago after his first win.
Hopely he won't and actually improve between the contests.
Then it'll be something else.

It looks like Moe El Moussawi(14) is getting more votes than Johnny Jackson(13) and Toney Freeman(12) so far.
Interesting... ^^

Dexter is about 3 inches shorter than Heath, so he looks much bigger with the same weight.

Heath will not beat Branch and Kai's muscularity. Branch will probably come in dry as hell weighing somewhere between 245-250! Heath needs at least 20 more solid pounds. Like I said it will come down to the last second before anyone is crowned in this Show! By far the best line up yet!

I think Toney can make it if he comes in condition (and i hope he does) so here's my top 6 in no particular order
Dex
Phil
Toney
Melvin
Kai
Gustavo
I personally prefer Mossawi's look and Silvio's look over GUstavo's but I don't think the judges will place them ahead of Gustavo. If they do, then I'd go with Moe for sure.

But Dexter has pathetic calves. A competitor with a bodypart that is so under developed should not place well.

This is close to what I would guess. I too think that Branch will place well but Badell may do better than 4th. I'm leaning towards a 2nd for Gustavo. He seems to be one of those that was saving himself for the Arnold. I think he'll look better than he did at the IM.
