Simpy's Epic Cut

I was lucky enough to get chosen to test Epic Nutrition's stack of 5-Tetra, 8-Beta Anabol, and 4-Nitro Tropic. Product information will be in the post below this.

About Simpy: I'm an NPC figure competitor and I'm getting ready for my first show of the season, the Northern Kentucky. I have approximately 5 weeks until the big day. I'm set to test these products for four weeks. I'm hoping that in that short amount of time I can do the impossible and gain a bit of mass while decreasing fat. It seems like madness, but I'll give it a shot.

Since I am cutting for a show, I will very closely monitor my weight and measurements during this process. I really want to make sure I don't screw myself up.

I just carbed up tonight, so my weight will be up tomorrow morning, but at least it will be a starting point for measurements. Other measurements will come tomorrow as well. I figure first thing in the morning will provide the most accurate measurements.

Simpy's Diet: Right now I'm carb cycling. I am doing very close to a Beverly cycle with carb up meals on Sunday and Wednesday nights. Other than those two times, my diet is pretty much lean meats, eggs, and veggies. I do still get some cheese and nuts. I think this will be the last week for cheese, however.

Simpy's Workouts: Currently I am lifting five days a week. I have broken my legs up and work hams and quads separately. I have found this to provide me the most success for growth. I suffered an MCL injury last April and my legs really show it. My hamstrings have especially lost size and definition over the past year. So I'm working frantically to undo the deterioration.

Day one: chest and hams
Day two: Back, bis, calves
Day three: Quads, shoulders
Day four: Hams, tris
Day five: A little bit of everything

I hit calves a couple of times each week and I'm doing abs about 3-4 times each week.

As of this week, cardio will be an every day event. *sigh* For those of you who are just now meeting me you will discover that I generally hate cardio unless I'm yelling at someone else to get it done.

Rules for my thread: There are no rules. I'm too damn lazy to color code a bunch of stuff. If I didn't finish a set or if stuff was too light or too hard, I'll just tell you. I am not formatting all that **** and giving it specific colors. Besides, I don't think I could remember it, and I doubt that the random thread visitor could remember it.

For all of those who spam my other journal: Spam away. As long as there isn't so much that people can't find my workouts or my reviews I could care less.

Other Supplementation: I don't take too many supplements, even when I'm cutting. Right now I have pretty much limited it to Beverly products. I'm using Muscle Synergy, Ultra 40's (liver) and GH factor (which is a friggin joke). I also take some EFAs each day and a multi. That's pretty much it.

I'm also blessed with asthma

so I do use an inhaler for that. I've been having some issues with that since October, so at the moment I take it pretty much every day. Once the asthma starts to settle down, I won't use it at all.

Timing of Supplements: I work out at random times. Some days it's late, some days it's early. Often, it's somewhere in between. I will try to stick very closely to the recommended time schedule for the products. It may get a little screwy, though, if I have any early morning workouts.

Recommended timing is as follows:
5-Tetra = 1 hour before workouts
8-Beta Anabol = During workouts
4-Nitro Tropic = before workouts

I couldn't find a specific timing guideline for the 4-Nitro, so I'm just assuming I'll take it about half an hour before my workouts.

BTW I have access to the OSU gym/rec (only 2 miles from the conv. center) this is where I am hanging out (during the day if the crowds are intolerable)

I'm not sure there is that much yohimbe in there, I think the older versions had more stuff. But coupled with the nitro tropic, its a good amount of stims/ATP enhancers
