Is this better than whey protein??

Hey guys, im a health freak.lol i eat only whole organic foods, etc.. Im not a fan of too much milk either theres too much pus, hormones, etc in it... i get enough protein without milk.. Now here's what im wondering..

I have ON Whey protein, it is made from milk i believe plus it has a bunch of other crap in it..

I went to wholefood store today and i got Egg White Protein Powder.
    Here are nutrition Facts:
    Serving size : 1 scoop (28.3G)

    Calories: 100
    Fat: 0
    Sodium: 260mg
    Sugar: 0
    Protein: 24g

    Contains:
Pure Extracted egg white albumen, natural flavors, bromelain(natural enzyme from pineapple), and papain(enzyme from papaya)

Thats all it has.. Now my question is that i rather take this but im wondering if whey is better?

Well theres 2 ways of looking at it.

    1. Professional bodybuilders don't go down the local health food shop and pick up egg white powder. They take Whey.

    2. Its more important to get your protein from food sources than powder, hence, the egg white powder should be better...

It depends what stance you wanna take with your thinking.
Personally, i'd go with the whey.

Honestly they're so close to tell. In your avg whey protein 40 g serving your gonna get around 35 g of protein. If you worried about the "other crap" in your whey and your a health nut, id say you cant go wrong with the egg white powder.

Depends on what you are using it for. Whey = fast uptake. Egg = medium uptake. Both are very good protein sources. But that being said, just stick with whey for post workout and eat regular eggs.

No need really for the egg protein powder unless you really don't have time to cook.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, egg protein is a higher quality protein compared to any other food protein.

from my experience whey protien is hardcore processed, egg powder protien is literally eggs ground up into powder.

the eggs are a better source of protien for a meal, whey is better for post workout.

i always found whey to be one of the worst kinds of protien to eat outside of PWO meals just because your body processes it so fast 90% of it just goes strait through you without ever being absorbed.

egg protien should be digested slower, and would be the same as eating eggs.. except in liquid form. you might not get as full as you would from eggs thus making it easier to over eat.

    Thumbs up

Like most of these comparison questions asked on this forum i dout you will notice any difference at all between the two for gains. If you feel more comfortable taking the egg protein then go for it, worrying about the crap in the whey when you take it would prob have more of an effect on gains.
It aint just how much you lift but how you lift it
