    Freezing Cottage Cheese?

As a college student without a car, whenever I get the chance to tag along to the grocery store I stock up big time. My question is, if I get tubs of cottage cheese, would it be safe to freeze them and then just take them out and place them in the fridge to defrost? Would this make it really watery on the inside or is this just a bad idea all in all? Thanks in advance.

as far as safe yes, there will be no harm done in doing this.. However im pretty sure the texture will be a little bit more watery. If that doesnt matter to you or you blend/cook with it then i dont see a problem at all

I free cottage cheese till its solid as a rock all the time. When it defrosts, it returns to basically the same texture. I like to eat it just as it starts to defrost (I'll throw in some whey, cocoa powder, and stevia) so that its still in a "crystallized" form when i mash it up. Quite refreshing
