My right wrist is hurting me now...it was the left , now it switched to the right. humm, go figure.
How much does the pain interfere (if at all ) with your workouts.
I hope it doesn't last long and passes quickly.
Have a great day!

morning all
Joan- I have wrist wraps that I have tried to wear, but they seem to be more of a hinderance than anything. Frustrating, isn't it? I too just work thru the pain ("Pain is weakness leaving the body").
Workout and grocery shopping today! (finally!!! The pantry and fridge are bare! )http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=171086161&p=1435554041#post1435554041

I want to second that thought. I have a long day at work and don't think I have the energy to wo sometimes, but then I think of all you ladies here with families and busy lives, and I have to reorder my priorities.
Sorry to hear about your wrists. (MM and Buff) I feel temporary pains here and there all the time. Each spot seems to take a turn. Last night, my back started to act up. I've learned to ignore them unless they stick around for more than a day or two.
Have a good night.

Feeling a bit tired this AM, but haven't been sleeping too well with this darn headache. WO was pretty good though. ...also got several great compliments, so that was an added bonus!

Hi Tricia
Humm, your headache has been lingering for a while now. Besides being the pillows being the culprit (good possibility) do you think you may be ill?
Or maybe the change in climate ( from humid to dry) could be causing your headache.
Ooooh, you got compliments, huh? That's super! Was it a comp about something specific or just in general...like, You are looking smokingly hot?!
Hey I know how awful it is, not being able to post in other's journals. This is the first time I can actually sit down and read everyone's.
You gotta get your first priorities done....and there is just sooo many of them lol
Isn't it nice sometimes to have a non-scheduled day? It's like anything can happen...The Sky's The Limit

Six- thanks for stopping by...I need to get by your journal and see how all your prep, etc is going... When is your test judging happening? That is something that has always interested me...I will have to follow along!
Joan- Thanks for being understanding about the lack of journal posts! I think that once we get into a real routine, life will be a bit smoother.
I don't know what is causing the headaches. I have lived with them my whole life (I used to get them as a preschooler )...just don't ever remember waking up from them. I have (infortunately) one of those extrememly sensitive bodies that responds to EVERYTHING! I am thinking that the culprite may be too much sodium lately. (I have been thinking about all the changes in my diet and life and this is the only thing I can think of)
Freedom- thanks for the advice...I will have to check it out...I am not going to rule out anything
On that note...I didn't have a headache yesterday (or the past 2 nights).
Had a relaxing day yesterday with my family. Made pancakes for the boys (haven't done that in AGES) and spent the day getting more stuff done around here. Nothing exciting.
I slept almost 10 hours last night !!!! For some reason, since we got here, I have not been able to wake up in the AM. I think it goes back to being a creature of routine, and I am just not into one yet.
Hubby went to work on his Jeep this AM, so the boys and I will be hitting the gym and then maybe head down to the Wild Animal Park...we will see.
Tonight we plan on packing up the kids, stopping for some hot chocolate and tea and heading to the beach to watch the sunset!
Have a great Sunday allhttp://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=171086161&p=1435554041#post1435554041

Hi MM Wanted to stop in and say "hello". Hope you're doing well. I'm sure I have missed a lot in your journal I'm so sorry to hear about your headaches. I too, have had migranes since a child but remember them being more extreme from my early teens on. You may have a sensitive nervous system. It's something that I've done some reading on and have realized that I definately have one. I'm sensitive to loud noises, changes in my environment, routine, weather, hormones, food, amount of sleep (too much or too little), etc.....headaches is how my body reacts to many of these things. I hope you feel better....Exedrine Migrane works like magic for me and I've tried prescription meds too.
Well, have a great holiday weekend....I'll have to invest some time into catching up in here
Edit: I'm looking into trying something new instead of my Universal Storm Creatine. Would you recommen N.O. Extreme?Last edited by mommy*2*3; 09-03-2006 at 09:40 AM.

I too, have come up with the same conclusion about the sen. ner. sys. I am sensitive to all of those things (not always conducive to having loud kids in the car ) and more (odors are another one). My hubby always thought I was just being too "overly sensitive" about environmental things, until I showed him research on it.
Thank for the info about the Exedrine!
The NO Extreme seemed to work great at first, but I wouldn't choose it as my first choice. I am getting ready to try SAN Fierce (heard good things...) in a few weeks. Not taking anything at the moment...

Couldn't hurt to add those things you mentioned too. What else is your friend taking?
I also don't take any type of pain reliever (unless I absolutely can't function), so I guess maybe I am a glutton for punishmenthttp://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=171086161&p=1435554041#post1435554041

msrod, Thanks for stopping by my journal! I don't mind the ?'s!
I have worked out since the 5th grade...believe it or not. However, not always in this shape. It wasn't until I decided to try my hand (or body ) at competing that I learned about the importance of proper nutrition and what an impact it has.
When I first decided to compete, my BF was a bit higher than it is now, but I decided to clean bulk and then cut. When I did clean bulk, I managed to keep my BF relatively low and add some 8 lbs of muscle (only added 1% BF!!!). I started my bulk diet about 8 months before comp and spent 12 weeks on a stricter diet...getting stricter as the comp neared.
I try to maintain a clean diet (b/c I am not thru competing...double cardio and the other dieting extremes really stink and I just don't want to do that to myself anymore) and off season I try to maintain a diet of approx 1800-2000 cals. Precomp is another story
I am trying a carb cycle off season for the first time to try to maintain more leaness and add at the same time. I am sure that not everyone feels that this is the way to go, but with my bodytype, I feel that for me it is worth a shot.
I hope I answered your ?'s w/o seeming like I am rambling (which I have a tendency to do).
Congrats on your decision to a better body and better health. You will feel so much better The forums here are a great place to start. Lots of support and great info (not to mention the awesome people )http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=171086161&p=1435554041#post1435554041

Hi Msrod...
Glad the info helps.
Lets see...when I am precontest, my cals will range b/t 1100 and 1400. (that is the lowest they will go...and I usually will not keep them that low for more than several weeks)
Are you excited to start your new journey?
Australia huh? What part? (if you don't mind sharing) I have always wanted to go there! When we lived in HI, we were trying to plan a trip there, but hubby was never around long enough... someday...
