Who smokes? I read that Mike Mentzer was a chain smoker. I read a old interview with Mike and he said there was a high level of alchohol and drug abuse (not steriods) in bodybuilding among pros. This was probably back in the days but just seems ironic since bodybuilding supposely promotes good health.

alot of european bodybuilders suck on ***s (smoke cigarettes), especally the French .
some do it as a appetite suppressant some do it because they or addicted. Smoking is more accepted in the European nations then here in the states....

Jesus dudes, it's not all or nothing where people either abstain totally or they are addicts. Abstaining and addicting are the same - both are for the weak minded who can't keep themselves in control. Biatch.

Don't get me wrong now I am sure there are a few guys that do their share of recreational drugs. It is like that in EVERY SINGLE SPORT though. I mean we could certainly say how did Michael Irvin run so fast and be so good when he was snorting everything he could get his hands on every day.
I mean hell I can guaranttee your asses there is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more recreational drug use in the MLB, NFL and NBA (especially the NFL) than their is in pro bbing.

Howdy,
I go out to the bar, say 3 to 4 times per week and have a few drinks and a smoke, but that’s the time I only drink and smoke, it have not done me any harm, I have been doing this for over 30 years, and can still run 10 miles easy. And have been in many of my countries bodybuilding finals. But I do not believe in drinking and smoking excessively.
